Final Task - Summary

While I have finished the tasks I haven't really explored these various sites and their capabilites yet. Now that I'm finished I will return to do this. I particularly enjoy using RSS and keeping myself up to date on the feeds I chose as well as the flickr and utube features.

I found that remembering how to sign into my accounts the hardest thing to remember.

I think it's important for me to be familiar with these new technologies to be adequately computer literate and to assist patrons in the best way possible.

Task 10 - MySpace

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=180625321 This might be very popular for the young adults - networking with friends or career networking, etc. I don't really see myself using it all that much, but who knows - I might surprise myself and become more computer savvy.

Task 9 - Using on-line office tools

I created a suggestion form for MC patrons to use which can be accessed from their personal computer to assist MC in building a significant Music CD collection.

Task 8 - Youtube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_V6X0bCvCPE. My user name is marcia053. I will explore more of this feature later, but I immediately found this great elephant video which I loved. It will be fun to check in from time to time to see the other videos posted.

Task 7 - Explore Wikipedia

Mrc_cnnr is my user name on Wikipedia. I added that PVLD now also has downloadable video. I have mixed feeling about Wikipedia. I will have to learn about the advantages from someone who knows what they are.

HmltnBrooks (05:13:59 pm): Somehow, with Laurie's help, I have found myself here. Yikes!
(05:13:59 pm)PVLD2007 is no longer signed on.

Im is important so that I can speak live to my friends, far and wide.

I found this photo on creative commons, and I really liked it because it reminded me of my fabulous safari to Kenya and Tanzania several years ago.To post this photo I first had to create a flickr account. I linked my blog to my flickr account. I like to be able to post photos to my own blog, and I also like to be able to view others' pictures and be able to post them to my blog.
